Black Bull Deluxe Blended Scotch Whisky - 40yo

Black Bull 40 Year Old, the flagship of the Black Bull range is a superior blend of the finest Single Malt and Single Grain whiskies available from Scotland’s premium Distilleries. The spirit in this very first bottling of Black Bull 40 contains whiskies ranging from 40 to 44 years old from the following distilleries: Bunnahabhain, Glenfarclas, Glenlivet, Glenburgie, Highland Park, Miltonduff, Springbank, Tamdhu and Invergordon.

Black Bull 40 year old is 90% single malt and 10% single grain and is bottled at cask strength. The spirit is completely natural, without chill filtration or added colourant.

Tasting Notes

Bottling: Black Bull 40yo Blended Scotch Whisky   Cask No: n/a - 40.2% alc/vol (CS). Colour: Tawny Nose: Sweet, Grapefruit, vanilla, iced buns, apples and mint. Flavour: Mild, juicy fruits, slight touch of oak and a soft coastal note. Raisins and cinnamon, exceptionally smooth Finish: Vanilla, some kiwi fruits, freshly cut grass and a faint hint of aniseed. Comments:  The best Bull yet! An exceptionally good whisky.

Black Bull Deluxe Blended Scotch Whisky - 30yo

This special blend is a marriage of the finest single malt and single grain whiskies produced in Scotland. The whiskies were vatted together in the 1970s, just after distillation, and matured in sherry casks for a minimum of 30 years, resulting in this deluxe premium rare blend.

Black Bull contains 50% malt whisky and 50% grain whisky and has not been altered by chill-filtration or colourant — it is completely natural.

Tasting Notes

Bottling: Black Bull 30yo Blended Scotch Whisky   Cask No: n/a - 50%. Colour: Chestnut Nose: Initially chocolate then a hint of turkish delights, stewed rhubarb and lime pickle. Flavour: Rich sherry notes. A big dram but also gentle at the same time. Again, more chocolate notes and some red fruits. Finish: A cherry finish with a slight cinnamon note and obvious sherry character, but there is also a faint creamy note in the background Comments:  Quite simply stunning!

Black Bull Deluxe Blended Scotch Whisky - 12yo

Black Bull contains 50% malt whisky and 50% grain whisky and has not been altered by chill-filtration. This special blend is a marriage of the finest 12 year old single malt and single grain whiskies distilled in Scotland. The selection of whiskies falls true to the Duncan Taylor ethic of unbridled quality, each whisky from each cask is nose and tasted before going into the Black Bull vatting.

Tasting Notes

Bottling: Black Bull 12yo Blended Scotch Whisky   Cask No: n/a - 50%. Colour: Full Amber Nose: Robust, chunky aromas. Chocolate, toffee, sherry, vanilla and lemon sherbet. Flavour: Smooth, mellow and rounded.  Milk chocolate, treacle toffee, pears, green apples and lots of sweet vanilla. Finish: Some heavier fruity notes emerge, and lots of creamy notes coming through Comments:  A very creamy whisky with a lot fruity toffee notes.

Duncan Taylor Auld Blended 38 Year Old

Winner of the International Wines & Spirits Competition’s 2008 Independence Trophy and Gold Best in Class, our Rare Auld Blended whisky is the very best of all international entries of the blended whiskies category.

This 38 year old blend is a marriage of the finest single malt Scotch whiskies from Bunnahabhain, Highland Park, Glenburgie, Miltonduff, Glenlivet and Springbank with the Invergordon single grain whisky. The product mix is 75% malt to 25% grain.

Bottling: Duncan Taylor 38yo Blended Scotch Whisky   Cask No: n/a - 46%. Colour: Burnt amber Nose: Fresh mint and honeysuckle. Sweet, classic old whisky. Flavour: Lemon grass, verging on tropical fruits. Nutty with light spices and a touch of cream. Finish: Silky smooth and mouth-watering Comments:  Give this time - it changes constantly. A fantastic dram!
