The Lonach Collection

The Lonach Single Malt Collection

The Lonach Gathering (an annual Clan Gathering held at Strathdon in the Highlands of Scotland) has been celebrated since 1822 and is as synonymous with Scottish history and tradition as Single Malt Whisky.

In celebration of the Gathering, the Lonach range of exceptional single malt whiskies represents a collection of some of the finest whiskies from Scotland’s leading malt whisky distilleries. The Lonach range provides a vatting of two casks from one particular distillery, each cask type provides its own particular character to the whisky. Occasionally over- and under-strength casks are vatted together.

To commemorate each passing year, Duncan Taylor releases a limited number of bottles, specifically to celebrate the Gathering in August. These are exclusively available at the Lonach Gathering for Clansmen and visitors alike.

“The Lonach Gathering” is traditionally held on the fourth Saturday in August. The day begins with a march by the men of Lonach in full Highland dress, as depicted on our label, the route passes by the patrons of the gathering and it is customary that those on the march receive a dram from each of the main households they stop at. The events come to a close with the Lonach grand dance and a wee dram. A range of fine single malts – distilled in the traditional time-honoured style a fitting tribute to the traditional highland games.

Bottlings available: 700ml, 750ml
