Brand Ambassador Fergus Simpson's Tour of Germany

Our Brand Ambassador had a busy March delivering tasting masterclasses in eight locations across Germany. These events were hosted by some of our stockists offering their customers an expert introduction to our whiskies.

The tour kicked off in Magdeburg on Friday 22nd March. Thanks to Michael Nowacek and Jennifer Stein who run Bottle & Pipe for hosting.

Fergus moved on to Erfurt the next day for a masterclass in the cellar of Der Bierrufer. Thanks to André Lautensack who organised the event.

His next stop was at Dead End Rock & Blues Bar in Aschaffenburg on Sunday for a marathon 3 hour tasting session featuring Battlehill, Black Bull and The Octave whiskies.

Another day, another masterclass for Fergus, this time in Tabak Bruckbauer in Kunzelsau on Monday 25th. What a great Scottish display in their window! Thanks to Willi who ran the event again showcasing Battlehill, The Octave and Black Bull whiskies.

Thanks to Jorg Peters for organising the next event at PJ's shop at Hotel-Restaurant Warndtperle in Völklingen on Tuesday 26th.

Wednesday's stop was at Westwood Whisky in Montabaur-Horressen. Thanks to our hosts Paul and Olaf.

It was off to Korschenbroich for Thursday's masterclass at Glehner-Whiskytasting hosted by Daniel Kamm and Tobias Bühne.

Ending on a high with a packed audience, Fergus's last Masterclass was at Scotia Spirit in Köln on Friday 29th.

So, did Fergus enjoy the tour? "These kind of tours show the real work of a Brand Ambassador. For this one, I flew into Berlin, picked up the hire car and set off on a 2,000km drive around Germany. It is tiring; driving to a new location each day, hosting the event, then back to the hotel for a few hours sleep and doing it all again the next day.

What does make it all worthwhile though, is the reaction of the people attending our events. Their enthusiasm is infectious, and gives you the energy to keep going. The range of people is amazing, from people who are just starting on their journey with whisky, to people who have visited more distilleries in Scotland than you thought existed.

It is always a great pleasure to see people enjoying our whiskies, and that we can sell out an event on a Monday evening never ceases to amaze me."

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that turned up to taste our award-winning whiskies.
